About the Event
This is a super seasonal workshop with special guest teacher Ayako Iino of Yume Boshi (maker of all things ume: Umeboshi, Ume Syrup, Ume Vinegar and more!) We’ll be making our own homemade umeboshi from the fleeting season of Japanese ume fruit!
As part of the workshop, each student will receive a 2 lbs of local ume fruit from Kay Lee Farms and a one-gallon glass jar.
We require proof of a negative rapid Covid test upon entry to class. Masks will be optional during class.
Rapid Covid tests are available for all attendees at no additional charge and can be picked up during our retail shop hours up to one week prior to the workshop you are registered for. Tests should be taken at home, the morning of class. Please take a photo of your negative test for our review (time /date stamped on your phone). In the event that you cannot pick up your Covid test in advance, you can source your own rapid test. Otherwise, you must plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before class to take one of the rapid tests provided. (Keep in mind, testing must take place outside of the shop). Thank you for taking these extra steps with us to make sure everyone feels comfortable gathering in community.
All students will receive a 10% discount on post-workshop purchases in our store. The minimum age for our workshops is 14 years old. All Workshop Sales are final.
