About the Event
Learn how to brew the oldest alcohol in human history: Mead! In this class, we'll walk through the entire process of transforming honey and water into one of the most underrated and delicious fermented beverages.Â
The workshop begins with a DISCUSSION on the history and process of mead making followed by a TASTING of a few different varieties. Then, we get HANDS-ON for the rest of the class. We'll move through mixing, fermenting, racking, and bottling of a standard mead and a varietal. You'll be buzzing about this class as you TAKE HOME your own corked bottle of mead, along with resources & experiences to get your own 1- to 5-gallon batch started at home.Â
