Handmade in California from black walnut wood with knurled brass thumbnuts for quick and easy blade replacement. Dough slashers are also known as lames, (pronounced LAHM, meaning “blade” in French) and are used to cut, or score, bread dough to help control the expansion of the loaf as it bakes.
