
Making Preserved Lemons in Community
This is part of a new series of free events we are calling "Making in Community" where many hands make light work of a labor intensive kitchen project. This month we are salt curing winter citrus!

About the Event
HOW IT WORKS:
Bring your own backyard citrus
Any thin-skinned, high acid citrus
Meyer lemons work best!
Lisbon lemons, Eureka lemons, limes, kumquats also make great candidates
Bring your own jars
Bring a variety of large glass jar(s) with lids to pack your citrus in (a 32-oz quart jar can fit 4-6 lemons)
Optional spices
You can also bring whole spices to share such as peppercorns, bay leaves, chile peppers, etc.
We will provide cutting boards, knives and course grey sea salt. You can purchase extra jars or spices from the shop if you need them!
There is no instructor for this event, so please come with with a basic understanding of how to ferment. A Preserved staff person will be on hand to facilitate the convivial sharing of time and space.

While this is a free event, we ask that all attendees register as we have limited space available. Please be mindful and let us know if you need to cancel so we can offer your spot to someone else. You can email us at info@preservedgoods.com.
All registered participants will receive a 10% discount on items purchased in the shop the day of the make.
