Piment D'Ville Smoky Espelette Chile Powder

Boonville Barn's California-grown Espelette chile powder, Piment d'Ville, got its name for being the chile powder of Boonville, similar to the Basque version Piment d'Espelette. With mild heat, this chile is a little sweet and a little spicy with a hint of tomato-y flavor. Smoky Piment d’Ville is made from late harvest Espelette chile peppers that are lightly smoked as they dry. Use it like you would black pepper, Piment d'Espelette, smoked paprika and/or Aleppo pepper.
