This is part of a new series of free events aimed at offering our space up as a place to make things together. Preserved, 5540 College Ave, Oakland CA 94618, USA
About the Event
HOW IT WORKS:
Bring something fermented!
Sourdough starter, kombucha SCOBY, yogurt, raw vinegar, kimchi, kraut, miso, water kefir, milk kefir, etc.
It can be something you made or store bought.
Together with Dr. Dutton we will select up to 10 ferments to examine under a microscope. Please note: Not everyone will have an opportunity to see their ferment under the microscope. Dr. Dutton will select a diverse assortment from the crowd.
There will be a casual discussion of the microbes present in fermented foods and what current science is saying about our relationship to them!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
While this is a free event, we ask that all attendees register as we have limited space available. Please be mindful and let us know if you need to cancel so we can offer your spot to someone else. You can email us at info@preservedgoods.com
All registered participants will receive a 10% discount on same-day purchases of items in the shop.
