About the Event
In this maker spotlight, Lillian will share the products and history of Yu Ding Xing, a family-run brewery in Xi Luo, Taiwan. From fermented black beans (a byproduct of soy sauce brewing) to both Taiwanese- and Chinese-style soy sauces, Yu Ding Xing’s knowledge of fermented soy traditions is rooted in decades of experience dating back to their inception in 1947. We will taste a variety of soy sauces and soy pastes from Yu Ding Xing to give participants an understanding of the various flavor profiles and applications of these products rooted in Taiwanese cuisine.
