About the Event

Just one teaspoonful of honey is the lifetime’s work of a dozen bees. In this workshop Rachel de Thample celebrates this revered ingredient with an array of fermented delicacies. Using honey to trigger the fermentation process not only stretches it further and retains, if not enhances, it nutritive properties.

As part of the workshop, each student will make a honey-fermented jam and honey vinegar with seasonal fruit to ferment at home and a copy of Rachel's book The River Cottage Handbook No. 18: Fermentation.

Rachel De Thample is an award-winning author who has worked in food, health and sustainability for more than 20 years. She teaches fermentation and seasonal nutrition courses at River Cottage in Devon, as well as Petersham Nurseries and the Plant Academy in London.

All students will receive a 10% discount on post-workshop purchases in our store. The minimum age for our workshops is 14 years old. All

All Workshop Sales are final.  Reschedule requests require 5 days advanced notice.  Review our complete Cancellation Policy here.
