$10 RESERVATION FEE: This charge is meant to hold accountability for showing up to this event which has very limited spaces available. All attendees will receive a $10 credit towards an in-store purchase after the event.

We are limiting this event to 12 people total.

Please be mindful and let us know if you cannot attend so we may offer your spot to someone else. You can email us at info@preservedgoods.com.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Items are swapped one for one, so please keep that in mind when preparing your goods. Bring as many or as few items as you would like to take home!

We suggest bringing 6-12 (or more) homemade items like:

  • Jams & Jellies
  • Pickles & chutneys
  • Hot Sauces
  • Salsas & Relishes
  • Ferments of all kinds (krauts, kimchees, preserved lemons, misos, etc)
  • Herb & fruit infusions (tinctures, liqueurs, shrubs. etc)
  • Live, heirloom cultures (sourdough, kombucha, kefir, yogurt, etc)
  • Other homemade abundance!

You are not obligated to swap with anyone, even if you bid on their item or they bids on yours. Actual swapping takes place through discussion and agreement. Remember, no money is changing hands. All swaps are one for one and by barter only!

BE SURE TO:

  • Label all items/jars individually
  • Prepare a list of ingredients, if applicable  (perhaps on a single index card)
  • Suggested uses and/or care instructions (ie: for a sourdough starter - include feeding instructions!)
  • Bring samples for tasting - optional but encouraged!

PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY TO SET UP.  SWAPPING BEGINS AT 6:30!

Disclaimer:

Please be aware that all goods are made in home kitchens by private individuals, not professionals. We expect all swappers to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in the preparation of their items. Nevertheless, by participating in the swap you acknowledge that the items available are not made in licensed kitchens or inspected by any government agency. Preserved does not provide any guarantees or assurances about the safety of the swap items.
