This is a demonstration-style class, perfect for those looking for a basic introduction to cider making with apples as the starting point. Students will leave with a fundamental understanding of how to make hard cider at home.

About the Event
This class will cover a range of topics including apple selection, apple composition, milling, pressing, yeast selection, fermentation microbiology, sanitation and general food safety. We will finish class with a cider tasting.
Your instructor, Brandon Buza, is an experienced cider maker, orchardist, and cider educator based in San Francisco. His journey started as a home winemaker and later expanded into cider after completing coursework at UC Davis and Peter Mitchell’s renowned cider academy in the U.K. His ciders have won top awards at various competitions including GLINTCAP which is the largest cider competition in the world.
All students will receive a 10% discount on post-workshop purchases at Preserved. The minimum age for this workshops is 21 years old.
